Strategy and Support

Over the past decade, we’ve seen dramatic changes in society’s expectations of organisations, a shift away from the idea that business is only about profit above all else, and towards the notion that companies must actively foster the social and environmental conditions that make profitability possible. Businesses who incorporate sustainability as a priority widen their view of risks and opportunities, and therefore increase long-term value creation.

Our team of experts champion sustainability and guide clients in all stages of their sustainability journey to consider aspects such as compliance requirements, brand image, competitiveness, and non-financial reporting. Our services encompass the full journey from identifying and assessing materiality of issues, mapping sustainability goals against international and best practice frameworks, sustainability assessments, development of sustainability strategies and reporting, and certification against frameworks such as B Corporation.

Infrastructure Sustainability

Infrastructure is a vital part of how we interact as a society and ensuring infrastructure is managed in a sustainable way is important for its contribution to ensure a sustainable future. Our team have extensive experience in infrastructure having worked with both Federal and State Government on a range of technical and strategic projects, including emissions assessments of infrastructure, construction, vehicles, and equipment, along with emissions reduction options and business cases. We also assist organisations with climate risk and Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) workshops, emissions reporting under National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme (NGERS) and the National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) and energy auditing and reduction strategies. We have a certified team of Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professionals (ISAPs) who assist with the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) IS ratings, including support in complying with ISCA certification from start to finish and assistance in achieving additional IS Rating Scheme credits.

Sustainability Materiality Assessments

Sustainability materiality assessments help identify, define and assess the most important environmental, social and governance (ESG) material issues for an organisation and determine what should be reported. The process of identifying these issues can be challenging. Our team of experts work with clients and their stakeholders, to help them understand the principles of materiality and to define and implement a robust process through scoping workshops and stakeholder engagement. To deepen credibility and integrity, this process can be done in alignment with frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Sustainability Strategy and Reporting

Sustainability strategy and reporting is fundamental to help an organisation set sustainability targets, measure performance, manage sustainability-related impacts and risks, and understand opportunities to drive value for stakeholders. Our team work with clients to formulate robust sustainability strategies and to develop transparent and accurate reporting. We work in-line with regulatory frameworks and can compile, implement and assure all sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements, including the Global Reporting Index (GRI), ASX Corporate Governance Guidelines, CDP global disclosure system, Climate Active, Equator Principles, the UN’s Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
